“THE HAUNTING” RECEIVES HIGH PRAISE FROM THE BBC! 

Amelia Chain was awarded ‘Artist of the Week’, (February 2021), with the evocative tune, “The Haunting” on the BBC’s Hereford & Worcester radio show, “BBC Music Introducing…”. The show, hosted by DJ Andrew Marston broadcasts on Sunday evenings and Andrew was the man responsible for announcing this particular week’s title. There were many other talented artists also in the running, “…it’s an amazong piece, so atmospheric and dramatic…”  Amelia Chain are obvioulsy delighted with the result and thank all those involved on the show for their support.

“BBC Music Introducing…” is a programme that was created in 2007 to support unsigned, undiscovered and ‘under the radar’ musicians. A spokesperson for the BBC said, “We’ve brought all of the BBC’s supporters of unsigned music together under one brand to nuture and give great exposure to the freshest artists across the UK.”

Every summer, you’ll find the “BBC Music Introducing…” stage at major events and festivals like Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and Radio 1’s Big Weekend. For those acts that are ready, we host stages at international events like SXSW in Austin, Texas. We also invite the very best new acts to record sessions at the BBC’s world famous Maida Vale studios, all of which are filmed, recorded and made available online.
